Let's get started with those great ideas!

We've got a tennis court, huge park, and tons of talented people. Let's see what we can put together!

  1. This is great! I was at the Family Fun Night on the 6th and thought that we need to have more community gatherings where the adults and kids can get more involved together. We do have a big park, lets have more community events there. If people would gather more community pride will come back to Cascade Locks. Pride will bring Prosperity. When our town takes more pride in itself it will show, and more people will want to visit here.

  2. Whatever happened to the adult softball and basketball games between different groups of employers? Do we still have those? Is the tennis court open to the public to hold tournaments or would we have to go through the school? How about an old-fashioned barn dance with hale bales and fiddlers? A quilting bee?
What about the Tourism Committee talking to Linda Hunter in Stevenson to teach our kids and adults alike, to kayak on calm waters? There's tons of water sources to go to with lots of wildlife to learn about along the way.

  3. Why don't we have classes here? Exercise, dance, yoga, Karate? Is there anyone in town who can teach them? Can this be done through Parks and Rec? Would people take these classes if they where available?

  4. I know that we have had a martial arts class here but there didn't seem to be enough sign-ups so he left but someone else may know more about that particular class. What about Senior exercise classes to go along with the other ones as well? That one takes some training so I'll check around and post the results.
